Dentists say that the minimum time you must stay brushing your teeth two minutes twice a day. Here are some instructions on how to brush properly:

* Hold your toothbrush at an angle of 45 degrees above your gum. Gently brush from where they join the gum and tooth to tooth surface used for chewing with short strokes (about half a tooth). Brushing too hard can cause gums to cede suffering, sensitive teeth and over time, loosening of teeth.

* Use the same method to brush the inner and outer surfaces of your teeth.

* To clean the surfaces of your teeth used to chew, do it with short strokes, making sure to brush between the slots, spaces or gaps between each tooth.

* To clean the inner surfaces of the top and bottom of the front combatants and gums, hold the toothbrush vertically. Applying movement forward and backward, using the front of the toothbrush to brush your teeth and gums.

* Using a forward motion, gently brush your tongue and the top inside of your mouth to remove bacteria that stay in those places.

* While brushing your teeth using a stopwatch (or a kitchen timer indicating how long the eggs are cooked) or hear a favorite song to get you used to brush their teeth for 2 or 3 minutes. Some electric toothbrushes have timers that let you know when two minutes have elapsed.

Brushing is important but does not remove food particles that can lodge between your teeth, under your gums or under braces. Need to brush these areas at least once a day.

The type of floss you choose depends on the size of space you have between your teeth. Dentists recommend flossing usually free of wax because it is thinner and therefore easier to slide between the teeth. However, studies have shown no difference in the effectiveness of dental floss based on the type you choose.

With any floss, you should be careful to avoid hurt gums. Please follow these instructions:

* Carefully insert the floss between two teeth, using a forward motion and backward. Gently place the floss into the gum base, but do not try to forcibly inserting the floss under the gums. Flossing should surround the edge of the tooth, like the letter C, and so you slide from the top to the bottom of each tooth.

* Repeat this process between all teeth and remember to floss the back teeth (which are located at the end of the mouth).
